Summer 2021 Photography Contest
Our Spring photo contest was so much fun, we are continuing the contest with the next season: Summer! Please join us in the park this Summer, and share your love of nature by posting your photos of the natural beauty you enjoy at Clear Lake State Park. We will be accepting photos from July 1st to September 1st.
The contest is for all ages and all photographic submissions must be digital and posted on the CLSPIA Facebook Page.
You must be an amateur photographer and may use any type of digital camera. Photographs must be taken inside Clear Lake State Park during the period of the contest. You may only post 5 photos during the period of the contest, but you may delete a photo and replace it with another. If you choose to substitute in a new photo, you will lose the Likes on the deleted photo.
Judging will be in two stages: the 5 photos in each age group with the most Facebook Likes will be honored and will move up to the panel judging. The panel of judges will be selected by the CLSPIA Board and will judge the top 5 most Liked photos and award a top winner in each age group.
There are no cash awards for this contest, but the following recognition of winners will be given:

Judging:
Phase One: On the last day for submitting photos, the number of likes a photo gets is recorded and the top five liked photos will be advanced to Phase two.
Phase Two: Images will be judged for originality, composition, and whether the title matched the image.
Winners will be announced on the CLSPIA Facebook Page no later than September 6th.

RULES
Three Age Divisions:
- Senior: 60 and up
- Adult: 20 to 59
- Teens: 13-19
All photos:
- Must be taken at Clear Lake State Park during the contest dates: 7/1/21 to 9/1/21.
- Digital image must be posted on the CLSPIA Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/CaliforniaStatePark
- A caption and title must accompany the digital image stating when and where the photograph was taken in the park.
- All submissions must be the work of the person entering the contest.
- No more than 5 photos may be submitted. (Photos over the maximum will be removed)
- Due to privacy issues, please do not submit any photos of people if their identity can easily be determined in the photo.
How to Enter
- Go to your Facebook Page
- Search for the CLSPIA Facebook Page
- Once you’re on the CLSPIA Page, “Like” the page
- Click on “create a post”
- Under “What’s on your mind” enter the following information
- Name of photographer
- Age group: Teen, Adult or Senior
- Title of your photo
- Date and location of photo
- Click the photo/video link, upload your photo from your device and submit/post.
Judging:
