Annual Park Events
April 28, 2012 The Clear Lake State Park Interpretive Association (CLSPIA) has presented a spring Wildflower Brunch since 1996. This event, which features delicious fill-your-own omelets accompanied by pastries, fruit and coffee, also includes specific nature-related activities in the park. The breakfast is held the fourth Saturday in April. During the day, CLSPIA members lead hikes throughout the Park, give presentations in the auditorium, and lead tours of Visitor Center exhibits. There is a fee ($15.00) for the breakfast, and proceeds from the event stay in the park to further environmental education, primarily the Interpretive Associations educational programs.
This fun, family-oriented day features birding and nature walks, exhibits, and music. The park Visitor Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit the museum and shop for nature-related items in the gift shop. No other event showcases the natural beauty of Clear Lake State Park so well. Last years attendance was 300, with many visiting our area for the first time. Its a great time to enjoy the outdoors with your family and to learn about who and what lives in our wonderful park.
